The Great Wall of China: A Photo Journey

Wanting a crowd-free Great Wall experience I travelled three hours north of Beijing to a section of the Great Wall called Jinshanling.  With hardly any tourists it didn’t disappoint. Perhaps the 6km walk along the wall as it rose up and down the steep ridges and the fact it was over 30 degrees also deterred them!

Despite the heat I loved my climb along the wall and past 22 towers. It was absolutely amazing and I know it will be a highlight of my trip.
